A Sacred Temple : A Seat of Belief. Sheetal Mata Temple, Biharsharif.

A Sacred Temple : A Seat of Belief, Sheetal Mata Temple where on the occasion of Navratri & Vijayadashmi devotees  used to visit the temple for religious activities like God Bharai and Visarjan always remains in the prime attractions for the locals

and others. 

In just the outskirts of the district head quarter town Biharsharif there is a very famous and sacred temple of Sheetla maa. The  temple is situated nearby the pond in the Maghada village . It is said that who takes a holy bathe in this mythical, religious and divine  pond gets a certain cure from the skin disease. 

Priest of the temple claims that the devotees of mata Sheetla get rid of different diseases specially like, small pox and chicken pox after taking a bathe in the adjacent pond and worshipping the Sheetala Maa. 

In History : In the religious scripture Skandpuran there lies a description about the temple of Sheetala Mata. While travelling around the Patliputra and nearby areas the Chinese traveller Fahien also describes about a holy temple in his travelogue that is situated at the bank of river Panchane that flows 

along with the town, Biharsharif.

Myth about Maa : It is a myth that the bracelet of Maa Sati fell on this place. Or somewhat a devotee king dreamt of  Maa Sheetala  telling him about her rescue by being unearthed.

Mithi Kuan : There is a well near the sacred temple out of which the statue of Maa Sheetala was taken out and it is regarded as the in-laws house of Maa Sheetala. Resultedly now the dug place remained a well. And the statue was taken out  enshrined in a temple, known as Sheetla Mata Temple. It is said that the water of the well is too magical and sweet in the taste.

It is also said that the water offered on the statue of Maa Sheetala has the magical power to cure various kinds of diseases. Apart from this water has been instilled with the power to fulfill the desire of the worshippers.

As per the sources provided by a localite, resident of Maghra village Mukesh Kumar, an environmentalist comes with a fact that the divine well is due to the blessing of maa and  the sacred well never gets dried up even in the extreme summer since ancient time.

However there is a geographical, situational possibility of nearness of the rich water resources ,the river Panchane that fills the well full of water throughout the year.

Inside the temple : There is a 12 inch tall deity of Maa Sheetla made up of a  black stone aligned by Surya and Chandra. Unlike other shakti peeths there is a complete ban over the  sacrificing of the animals like goats in the court of Mata Sheetla, But after fulfilling their wishes although many devotees donate a buck or a nany  to the priest of the temple every year.

Sheetlashtami Fair : Always on the occasion of Chaitra Krishnapaksh Saptami and Ashtami  or in the month of April there a three day fair is held here. The famous fair Sheetlashtami takes place in which people and devotees come from different areas adjoining places of Biharsharif, Jehanabad, Shekhpura and Nawada for the worshipping of goddess Sheetla. 

As it is our belief on the Chaitra Krishnapaksh Saptami the deity of Maa was found and the very next day Chaitra Krishna Paksh Ashtami the deity was enshrined in the temple.  The ancient tradition has been going on since ancient times, to set up a flag on the occasion of Ram Navami in the mother's compound. This temple has a large crowd of devotees on every Tuesday.

How to reach : First reach Nalanda district head quarter town Biharsharif, is well connected from railhead and road ways from the major cities of Bihar and India others like Patna, Gaya, Varanasi, Lucknow, Delhi and Kolkatta.

It is just 1.5 to 2 kilometers away from the town bypass center Ambedkar Mode in Biharsharif so ample conveyance is available from the city. A number of e-rickshaw and  auto rickshaws are  available for the tourists.

How to plan : Take an e-rickshaw. Reserve it for the payment of only about 50 rs for your group of 5 to 6 persons. Otherwise by paying only 5 rupees single person can reach that place. You will come across the bridge in the way of Biharshairf Jehanabad. 

By passing through the bridge you may have a bird's eye view over the span of the river Panchane. Really you may realize that time there is ample possibility of 

tourism for the making of the river front area, and a need of  boat house club in the locality. Stay there for one hour, click photos of your choice and return back to your destination. All together it will take maximum 2 hours but will give you certainly a great deal of mental and psychological relief.

No one is perfect in this world ...

But one must try to reach the perfection as near as possible.

Once in Goa I was invited to attend the bhajans on Vijayadashmi day by a religious society.  After the bhajans , to my utter surprise I was invited to give a talk for which I was totally unprepared .  I therefore invoked the blessings of God for guidance and inspiration.  
Thereafter I spoke , " Dear friends , Greetings on this auspicious day of Vijayadashmi . We all are ' Ravanas ' and we have to become ' Ram ' . As we all know that ' Ravana ' is said to have ten faces. It is not possible  for a person to live with physical ten faces. Hence it was only symbolic of having ten different personalities. 

And in this Kaliyuga ' we all carry ten personalities. We are different with different individuals. With wife or husband we are different person, with boss  and subordinates we are again different person and so on and so forth.  

Ravan was an intellectual ,a good administrator , a good planner ,a caring and loving king to his subjects etc. The only problem with him was inflated EGO. He was so high headed that he considered everyone to be unworthy in comparison to himself. This was the cause of his downfall.  

On the other hand Lord Rama was compassionate, loving, faithful, caring, kind sympathetic and empathetic to others and was so obedient son. He was an embodiment of truthfulness and justice.  Unlike Ravana he did not have a complex personality.  

Our endeavour should be to detach those fake heads from our being and try to be just one individual like Lord Ram.  

The question is why everyone wants his or her sons to be like Lord Ram .  To the extent that people name their sons after Lord Ram's name .  Although if we see the life of Lord Ram .... He suffered throughout.  

As a child he was sent with sage Vishwamitra to fight the demons in the jungle.  After his marriage he was sent for an exile of 14 years and had to lead a life full of hardships.  He had also to suffer separation from his wife - twice - once when Ravan abducted Sita ji and second when on a washer man's comment about Sitaji's chastity Lord Ram sent her to the forest.  

The reply to this is that in - despite of all the miseries and adversaries Lord Ram was very composed and balanced throughout his life and withstood all the hardships with a positive attitude.

A Place of Trust and Blessings : The Bhadrakali Temple.

Jharkhand is adorned with not only rich amount of flora and fauna but also several places  of religious  significance. Among these  sights of faith and grace, the Bhadrakali temple situated at Itkhori in Chatra district stands top in list of places counted from religious and cultural perspectives.

History : The Bhadrakali Temple was built about in the 9th century around Guptas and Palas daynastic rule and its remnants make us remember a superior quality of the workmanship.

There are some other links to the Jain Teerthankar Sheetalnath too. 

The ASI has excaveted an ancient Jain idol from beneath of Bhadrakali Temple compound. 

How to reach : It is 35 kms on the east of Chatra and 16 kms west of Chauparan well connected with G.T.Road we the universal travellers had reached the sacred temple to achieve the blessings of Maa Bhadrakali. This place ever flowing with unique wave of divine faith and promise is said to hold a spirit of faith. In addition to these we can say that it is also a seat of confluence of three religions. Three religions from the glorious past of the temple Hinduism Buddhism and Jainism Converge here giving a great and unique glory to this place. Mother of the mothers Bhadrakali symbolises mountainous fate sea is well known as a protector from all levels

The idol of goddess carved out in  precious black stone  is  a  grand feature of this place. Devotees from every part of the country visit this temple seeking health, safety, wealth and children. All empowering divine is believed  not to disappoint any one. None returns empty-handed  from the door of mother. Couples suffering from disgrace of having no children  come to the door of the divine mother praying for a child . It is said that  such prayers echo in the premises of the temple. Great mother  entertains such prayers.On the occasion of new year, people come to this place to have a blessing of love and success for whole year.You will read more about this place in my next report on the same place.

हर तरफ ढाक बजने लगे हैं,मंगलमय मंत्रोच्चार लयबद्ध हो चहुं दिशाओं में गुंजायमान है,आह्लादित नर- नारी भाव विभोर हो प्रतिमा के आगे नतमस्तक हैं।नवरात्रि नौ दिनों तक चलने वाले शक्ति पूजन के स्त्रैण्य रूप का महिमा गान है। माता दुर्गा भुवन मोहिनी है, पालिका हैं,  तो विनाशिका भी। पोषण और संहार द्वय कर्मों का,मृदुलता और कठोरता उभय पक्षों का- अति मनोहर समन्वय है उनका दिव्य रूप। इस दिव्य स्त्री की शक्ति में समाहित है उसके चारों ओर के संपूर्ण सकारात्मक समाज की शक्ति।

महिषासुर के दुराचार को सुनकर ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और शंकर भगवान के मुंह से पूर्ण क्रोध के कारण उत्पन्न हुए महान तेज एवं अन्य सभी देवताओं के शरीर से भी निकले अतुल तेज जब मिलकर एकाकार हो गए, तब इन सभी के उज्जवलतम सामूहिक स्वरूप से बना एक नारी का शरीर। आग उन्हें शक्ति  देते हैं ,  वायु धनुष, काल चमकती हुई ढाल और तलवार, हिमालय सिंह, वरुण पाश और शंख तो सूर्य देवी के समस्त रोमकूपों में अपनी किरणों का तेज भर देते हैं। जिसके पास जो उत्तम है सब ने दिया देवी को।
नारी एक शक्ति : सबकी दिव्यता और ताकत एक जगह संग्रहित होकर बड़े- से- बड़े असुरों का भी विनाश कर डालती है। माता दुर्गा का चरित्र सामाजिकता का बहुत बड़ा पाठ है। इस शक्ति संग्रहण में कहां स्त्री-पुरुष का भेद रह जाता है। सारे देव (पुरुष) अपनी शक्तियों का संकेन्द्रण माता दुर्गा में कर देते हैं । आदिकाल से तो यही रहा है भारत का अध्यात्मिक स्वरूप, हिंद की संस्कृति नारी को सम्मान देने में अपने मूल स्वरूप में सदैव अग्रणी रही है। कालांतर में भले ही स्त्री- पुरुष भेद गहरी खाई का रूप धारण करने लगा लेकिन आज भी वास्तविकता यही है कि स्त्री शक्ति के पल्लवन -पुष्पण में पुरुषों के स्नेह- सहयोग की महती भूमिका है। 

समाज है तो शुंभ- निशुंभ भी अस्तित्व में आते रहेंगे, मिटते  भी रहेंगे।  

देवताओं के द्वारा सौंपे गए दायित्व  को माता ने भी बखूबी निभाया-अनाचार -अत्याचार का अंत किया, धर्म की स्थापना की। आज भी समाज में स्त्री- पुरुष का संतुलित और परस्पर आदरपूर्ण संबंध अनाचार - अत्याचार के अंत और धर्म की स्थापना का आधार है।संगठित होकर कोई भी समाज अप्रतिम रूप से ताकतवर बनकर हर दुश्मन ,हर बुराई के आगे दृढ़ता से खड़े रहकर विजयी हो सकता है। माता के दिव्य शक्तियों का अलग-अलग हिस्सों में बंटकर असुरों अर्थात बुराइयों से युद्ध करना एक कुशल जननायक को नायकत्व का अद्भुत पाठ पढ़ाता है कि आप अपने संसर्ग में अन्य शक्तियों को भी इस प्रकार स्थापित करते रहें कि आवश्यकता पड़ने पर वे शक्तियां भी नेतृत्व प्रदान कर सकें, संघर्ष को नया रूप देकर सत्य को विजय दिलाएं। 

महा राक्षस शुंभ-निशुंभ  का सामना करने में काली, शिव दूती, वैष्णवी, कौमारी, माहेश्वरी ,वाराही, ऐन्द्री ब्रह्माणी आदि देवियां (यूं तो माता दुर्गा के ही विभिन्न रूप हैं)  अपने पृथक अस्तित्व में  रणक्षेत्र में पराक्रम पूर्ण व्यवहार का प्रदर्शन करती हैं-कुशल नायिका की वीरांगनाएं प्रतिनिधि। सभी देवियों के वाहन पशु हैं,

ऐन्द्री का वाहन एरावत हाथी है तो वैष्णवी का वाहन गरुड़, माहेश्वरी बैल के वाहन पर तो कौमारी मोर के वाहन पर विराजमान रहती हैं, ईश्वरी वृष पर सवार हैं ,ब्रह्माणी हंस पर विराजमान रहती हैं। सभ्यता के प्रारंभिक काल से ही मनुष्य का सहचर रहे  पशुओं के महत्व , उनके साहचर्य का महिमामंडन और मानव- प्रकृति सामंजस्य - सभी विशेषताओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं ये। सत्व, रज और तम -तीनों प्रकार के गुणों का समावेश होने पर भी दिव्य है मातृ शक्ति का रूप,पूजनीय है, वंदनीय है। व्यक्तित्व का कितना सुंदर पवित्र संतुलन सिखाती है माता दुर्गा।उनका रज और तम गुण, सत्त्व गुण को दबा नहीं पाता ।नवरात्रि के उपासकों को यही संदेश मिलता है, केवल शरीर को न साधा जाए, केवल जिह्वा(रस) को ही  न साधा जाए, बल्कि विचारों को, मन को  सात्विक आनंद के राह पर अग्रसर किया जाए। 

नवरात्रि में माता का स्तुति गान किया जाता है । ग्रहणीय है इससे, समाज में जो भी  उत्तम संपादित हो रहा है,उनका यशोगान हो ताकि यह उनके लिए प्रेरक बनकर उनकी ऊर्जा को स्पंदित करता रहे। स्तुति है क्या, किसी भी कार्य को ,किसी भी व्यक्तित्व को सकारात्मक स्वीकृति देना और यह सकारात्मक स्वीकृति किसी भी समाज में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा प्रवाह के लिए सुगम गतिशील पथ का निर्माण करती है। जननायकों को भी आवश्यकता होती है मनोबल बढ़ाने वाले तत्वों की, सत्य का साथ देने वाले जन की। नायक और जन, जब- जब मिलकर शौर्य और सत्य का पथ सुगम करेंगे, तब तक धरती पर सनातन धर्म की विजय पताका फहरायेगी। असुरत्व का अंत होगा, शांति की स्थापना होगी, चराचर जगत समरसता का आनंद उठाएगा।

नारी की अद्यतन स्थिति : वर्तमान समाज में प्रचलित एक महत्वपूर्ण कुरीति, स्त्री को भोग्या की दृष्टि से

देखने का महाअपराध , चिंतनीय है। जैसे समस्त दैवीय शक्तियां मिल कर इस शुंभ - निशुंभ रूपी  इस  कुदृष्टि का अंत कर देती है, वैसे ही वर्तमान समाज में भी शारीरिक शोषण रूपी दैत्य का अंत सज्जनों - सुसंस्कृतों की एकीकृत शक्ति कर सकती है।अनाचार के अंत के लिए सब को एक होना होगा, साथ देना होगा। यह संघर्ष भी एक- दो दिनों की कहानी नहीं, कई वर्षों की तपस्या होगी, माता जगदंबा के राक्षसों के अंत के लिए सौपे गए हजारों वर्षों की तरह अनथक समवेत प्रयास  समाज में जारी रखना होगा।

नवरात्रि संस्मरण . नालंदा की मधुर यादें. 

 

नवरात्र की सप्तमी के दिन मंगलवार को माता रानी के पट खुलते ही नवनिर्मित पंडालों और मंदिरों में मां भगवती और उनके रूप के दर्शन के लिए श्रद्धालुओं,भक़्तजनों  की अनवरत भीड़ सड़कों गलियों में उमड़ पड़ी। समय के साथ जैसे जैसे पट अनावृत होता  गया , लोग माता की झलक पाने के लिए पंडाल के चल पड़े।  इस बार कोरोना वायरस के कारण  प्रशासनिक अनुमति के कारण कुछेक  जगह पर ही पंडाल का रूप दिया गया है।  लेकिन प्रतिमा काफी भव्य बनाया गयी  है दिखता हैं कि पूजा पंडालों के निर्माण में काफ़ी ख़र्च किया गया हैं। माता का एक से एक बढ़कर भव्य रुप देखने को मिल रहा हैं।

शारदीय नवरात्र के अष्टमी की सुबह से ही पूजा पंडालों में माता की गोद भराई के लिए श्रद्धालु महिलाओं की भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी थी। माता की झलक पाने के लिए श्रद्धालुओं का तांता लग गया था और  सुबह से ही श्रद्धालु महिलाएं माता की गोद भराई के लिए पूजा पंडालों में पहुंच रहीं  थी। 

माँ के चेहरे पर सिन्दूर लगाने ,फेरी लगाने , भैसासुर मुहल्लें में काली मूर्ति के पास उमड़ा हुजूम का लगभग वही पुराना देखा समझा हुआ दृश्य जो मैं ४०  सालों से देखता आ रहा था। सही कहें नालंदा जिला मुख्यालय बिहारशरीफ एक सजीव शहर हैं। 

बिहार शरीफ की नवरात्रि की यादें जैसे मेरी जिंदगी की अनमोल विरासत हैं जो मेरे यादों के जो पिटारें में वर्षों से बंद  है। जब कभी भी मैं दशहरा के संदर्भ में यादों के सुनहरे पन्नें उलटता हूं तो मैं बीते दिनों की तरफ स्वतः खींचा चला जाता हूं।  बिहार शरीफ यह मेरे जीने का शहर हैं जिसे मैंने १९६५ से जिया हैं।मुझे यहां की  सभी चीजें जैसे स्मृत  हैं होली , दिवाली , दशहरा ,  छठ आदि सभी चीजें  । यह शुरू से एक जीता

जागता शहर रहा हैं। 

१९७४  में जब पुल पर स्थित दुर्गा मां के पास में बनी  फिल्म दोस्त का अत्यंत लोकप्रिय गाना गाड़ी बुला रही का फिल्माया गया दृश्य  मैं कभी भी नहीं भुला पाया।  तो दूसरी तरफ मुरारपुर अड्डा पर जब माँ शेरों वाली की प्रतिमा का शेर गरजता था तो मां की ही याद स्वतः आ जाती थी। 

१९७४ से ही  नवरात्रि के संस्मरण व नालंदा की यादें मेरे मानस पटल पर अपनी परतें जमा करने  लगी थी। मुझे याद है उनदिनों रामायण और महाभारत के प्रसंगों से सम्बन्धित जीवंत झाकियां प्रदर्शित होती थी। उन पुतलों में गति होती थी जो हम बच्चों को खूब भाती थी। हमारे बिहारशरीफ़ में रामलीला की परंपरा भी यदा कदा ही होती थी। मैंने एकाध देखी होगी तब उस भेष धरे राम ,लक्ष्मण ,सीता ,हनुमान के प्रति न जाने इतनी श्रद्धा मैं कहाँ से बटोर लाता था मालूम नहीं। जब कि इस रामलीला के प्रति उन कलाकारों का जुड़ना शायद जीविका चलाने के साथ साथ सनातनी हिन्दू धर्म के प्रति जुड़े रहने की असीम आस्थां भी रही होगी। लेकिन मेरे दिल मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम राम के प्रति श्रद्धा तो जागृत हो ही गयी होगी। 

१९७८ के बाद से मित्रों के साथ मेला पंडाल घूमने ,मूर्ति देखने के साथ नाईट शो मूवी देखने की परंपरा भी हमलोगों ने अख़्तियार कर ली थी। मुझे याद है अजंता , किसान ,कुमार, तब के अनुराग सिनेमा हाल में हमने नवमी की रात जानी दुश्मन ,लोफ़र ,कुर्वानी ,चिराग़ आदि न जाने कितनी फिल्में देखी होगी। इसके लिए अम्मा से डाट भी मिलती थी। 

लेकिन तब से अब तक़ मूर्ति पंडाल देखने की परंपरा जारी ही हैं। उनदिनों भी पुल पर ,सत्तों बाबू की सुनार गली ,तथा भैंसासुर , मुरारपुर अड्डा की मूर्ति व पंडाल सजावट देखने योग्य होती थी। 

याद है १९९८ के पहले विजया दशमी की अगली रात मूर्ति विसर्जन के लिए सभी मूर्तियाँ पुल पर इकट्ठी हुआ करती थी और हम रात ३ बजे वहां विसर्जन देखने जाते थे।

लेकिन साल १९९८ के फ़साद के बाद से पुल पर की तंग गलियों के गुजरने का सिलसिला बंद हो गया अब सारी मूर्तियां शहर के मध्य में बनी सदभावना मार्ग से ही गुजरती हैं। 

मुझे याद है नवरात्र के आरम्भ होने के साथ ही साथ एक अज़ीब प्रकार का भक्तिमय मौहाल बन जाता था। आस पास के मंदिरों ,पंडालों से बजती हुई पुरानी फिल्मों की धुनें अक्सर हमारे कानों को सुनाई दे ही अलसुबह सुनाई देती थी जो हमें बहुत ही मनभावन लगता था । अम्मा के द्वारा नए कपड़े सिलाने की ललक हर होली दशहरा में  हो जाती थी, त्यौहार का मतलब ही तो हर किसी नए बच्चें के लिए कपड़े सिलाना ,मेला घूमना तथा मेवे मिठाई खाना ही होता हैं ना। 

नवमी के दिन माँ के द्वारा नौ कुंवारी कन्याओं को भोजन व श्रद्धा दान के लिए बुलवाती थी। हम उन्हें बड़े सम्मान के साथ पाती में बैठा कर भोजन करवाते थे। यह श्रद्धा और परंपरा  अभी भी बदस्तूर जारी हैं।  मुझे याद हैं उन कुंवारी कन्याओं की टोली में उनके भाई भी होते थे जिसे हमलोग हँस कर भैरों कह कर बुलाते थे। लेकिन जब से हम माता वैष्णो देवी के दरवार घूम कर आए ,यह प्रतीत हुआ कि नौ कुंवारी कन्याओं के साथ साथ   भैरों की कितनी महत्ता है। 

विजयादशमी के दिन सुबह से ही नीलकंठ देखने की जुगत शुरू हो जाती थी। उसी दिन हमारे घर कुल पुरोहित भी आते थे। माता काली के मन्त्र पढ़ कर कानों में जय की पत्तियां दे देते थे जिसे हम बड़ी सहेज कर किताबों के पन्नों में रख देते थे। हम लोग उन्हें दान दक्षिणा के साथ विदा करते थे। न जाने कितनी ऐसी सूखी जय की पत्त्तियाँ अभी भी मेरी किताबों के बीच मिलेंगी। आखिर में विजयादशमी के दिन मघरा स्थित माता शीतला देवी का भ्रमण करना कैसे भूला सकता हूँ अम्मा घर में प्रयुक्त पूजा सामग्री को मघड़ा स्थित माँ शीतला देवी के तालाब में ही करने जाती थी न ?

आख़िर में बिहारशरीफ़ की अनोखी परम्परा भी बतला दूँ जहाँ सभी जग़ह मूर्तियां विजयदशमी को विसर्जित कर दी जाती हैं वहाँ शारदीय पूर्णिमा तक मूर्तियां विसर्जित होती ही रहती हैं।  हैं ना सबसे अलग।

सवाल 

वाजिब है कि नहीं है

यह तो बाद का सवाल है,

पर सवाल तो लोग पुछते ही हैं,

सवाल रावण भी पुछता है कि

हर साल धर्म अधर्म न्याय अन्याय

के नाम पर मेरा पुतला दहन किया

जाता है,

मेरे पुतले को जलाने के लिए बड़े 

बड़े लोग सजधज के आते हैं,

बड़े से मैदान में बड़ा सा आयोजन 

होता है,

आज मेरे पुतले को जलाकर शायद

मानवता ,

अधर्म अन्याय अनाचार कदाचार छद्म व्यवहार हिंसा आदि से मुक्त हो जाएगी,

समाज * समष्टिमूलक समतामूलक धर्म और न्याय आधारित हो जाएगा,

लेकिन विडम्बना तो यह है कि जितना 

मुझे फूँका जलाया जाता है,

* रावणत्व उतना ही फलता फुलता

फैलता जाता है,

जलाओ फूँको तापो,दहन का जश्न

मनाओ,

पर एक बात तो बताते जाओ,

आखिर कब तक मेरा * पुतला दहन

करते रहोगे,

कब तक ये * छद्म आचरण और व्यवहार किया जाएगा,

कोई तो बताए कि जिसे स्थापित करने के लिए मुझे जलाया जा रहा है,

वो * राम राज , वो सुराज कब आएगा,

वो राम राज कब आएगा ?

Durga Pooja celebrated at Dehradun , Uttarakhand with all rituals and prayers to destroy the demon of COVID.

Dehradun / Captain Ajay Swaroop. Durga pooja is being celebrated with all gaiety at Dehradun. This  pooja is celebrated to commemorate the victory of good over evil, as Goddess Durga killed the demon king Mahishasur. 
According to Hindu mythology it is believed that the Goddess visits her earthly abode during this time to bless her devotees. Although Durga pooja holds great significance for the Bengali community it is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. In Dehradun is being celebrated by adhering to and following the COVID norms.”

Biharsharif observing a live Dandiya this Navratri Festival.

Biharsharif / Dr. Ajay Kumar. A wonderful family program of Dandiya was held at Airwat Palace in Biharsharif in which the little ones and their parents enjoyed the scintillating musical dance programme in a full swing with Navratra food with the all courtesy of sponsors.Our DG Pratim Banerjee and first lady Suchanda Banerjee were the chief guest of the programme while DGE Sanjeev Kumar Thakur, PDG Bindu Singh and VIMS Principal Dr P K Chaudhary were our guest of honour.

Durga Puja celebrated with traditional reverence and religious ecstasy.

Jharkhand / Dr. Amit Kumar Sinha. Durga Puja, a festival of victory of goodness over evil, was celebrated with  festive enthusiasm and traditional respect. The whole

city drowned in devotion to all the menifestations of Goddess. A sea of humanity clad in The same amount of festive atmosphere was noticed in the neighbouring areas. A huge crowd of devotees invoking Goddess for riches , health and children was found .In addition to this, crowd at food stalls set up  at the different points of the city added extra colour to the occasion. On the whole ,ten_ day long long festival passed off nicely. brilliantly colourful dresses was  seen visiting beautiful pandals installed at different places of the city. Each pandal was decorated with flowers and latest lights . Festive revelers enjoyed  with abstinence as there were police personnels stationed at all the important points of the city to monitor them regarding COVID- 19 norms.
