Episcleritis : is a common, generally mild inflammation of the episclera, which is the thin layer of tissue sitting between the white part of the eye (sclera) and the clear outer membrane (conjunctiva).

Pink patch on the white of the eye, Mild soreness, irritation, or discomfort. Tenderness when the eyelid touches the eye.

Normal vision with no significant discharge or light sensitivity.

Episcleritis / Scleritis : Episcleritis is a mild, superficial inflammation of the eye's middle layer of tissue, whereas scleritis is a deep, severe, and potentially vision-threatening inflammation of the white of the eye itself.

* Naturopathy.

Cold Compresses : Soak a clean washcloth in cold water, wring it out, and rest it over your closed eyelids for 5 to 10 minutes. The cold temperature helps constrict swollen blood vessels and relieves itching caused by allergies.

The 20-20-20 Rule : If you spend long hours looking at screens, give your eyes a necessary break to prevent digital strain. Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. Remember to blink frequently to keep the surface moist.

External Cooling Compresses : You can place chilled cucumber slices or used, cooled green tea bags over your closed eyelids. Cucumber contains natural anti-inflammatory components, while the caffeine in green tea helps shrink blood vessels externally.

Avoid Irritants & Makeup: Protect your eyes by avoiding smoke, dust, and direct air conditioning. Temporarily skip eye cosmetics like kajal, kohl, or mascara, as they can worsen existing inflammation.

Lubricating Eye Drops : Using over-the-counter artificial tears is highly recommended by organizations like the American Academy of Ophthalmology. They mimic natural tears, wash away external allergens, and provide essential moisture to dry eyes.

Difference between Chlor D Eye Drop and Apdrops DM Eye Drop : The primary difference between Chlor D and Apdrops DM is the type and number of active antibiotics they use to treat bacterial eye infections.

While both contain the exact same steroid to reduce swelling and redness, Chlor D uses a multi-antibiotic approach, whereas Apdrops DM uses a single, advanced, broad-spectrum antibiotic

Page 2/1.Article Lasik Surgery : Today's Need, fashion of the youths

Lasik commonly referred to as laser eye surgery or laser correction is a type of refractive surgery for the correction of myopia ( nearsightedness) , hyperopia ( farsightedness), and astigmatism ( कोर्निया की आकृति में गड़वड़ी ).

Age : However youths under the age of 18 are not recommended for Lasik because their vision has not had a chance to stabilize. But since 19 to 40 ,anyone within this range is a great candidate. 

There should not be any problem of Cataracts. Cataract remains clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye. Most cataract develops slowly over the course of the year. 

Before that having  a talk with a Bihar fame Eye Specialist doctor Dr.Subhas Prasad. MD Divyadrishti , Patna I come to know that before Lasik surgery the power of eyes should be examined regularly and should be stable for a year.

Proper Testing : These are other proper tastings are necessary before the patient goes for Lasic Surgery

a. Dry Eye Testing 

b. Contrast Sensitivity Testing.

c. Pupil Testing

d. Pachmetry

e. Keratometry.

f.  Coroneal Topography.

g. Wave front analysis.  

And thickness of Cornia is an another matter.

Other tests and examinations are too important before the lasik surgery. 

Lasic Barrage : The laser barrage is an Argon Laser treatment done to strengthen the part of the retina which may show areas. After this laser treatment, in about a week's time ,it is usually safe to undergo Lasik.

Macular Hole.

Macular Hole : a macular hole within the eye's retina occurs when the nerve cells of the macula become separated from each other and pull away from the back surface of the eye ,effecting vision. A macular hole can be successfully treated.

Compound Myopic Astigmatism : when there is myopia in all meridians, of a different amount.  

Retinal holes : are caused by traction on the retina by the vitrous

What happens after barrage laser : Complications of laser barrage include transient effects ( blurred vision, raised intraocular pressure and headache permanent effects poor night vision ,poor colour vision and peripheral field defect)

Q.1. Which Lasik operation is deemed suited for a 24 year plus patient with having minus 7.5 power in each eye while for the previous year it was minus 6.5. - a patient from Indore.

Answer : There are two types of operation 

a. Femto Blade Free Lasik .Charging 40000 to 45000 / rs

b. Femto with Contura. Charging 45000 to 50000 / rs.
